1. “Hashomer Hatzair” in Poland and Galicia, from the founding of the movement up to World War II. Books written by Prof. Matityahu Mintz, the late Prof. Zvi Lamm, and David Zait, Ph.D. are part of this project. The concluding book by Eli Tzur, Ph.D. published jointly with the Ben-Gurion Heritage Center in Sdeh Boker appeared in 2006. This research has sealed the series.
2. Revival of the youth movements and the path of Holocaust survivors in the years 1944-1948. A research project conducted jointly by Yad Ya'ari, Yad Tabenkin, Lochamei Hageta'ot, Moreshet, Massua, and the Religious Kibbutz Movement. The research projects of Menahem Weinstein, Ph.D., Hanna Shlomi, Yehoakim Kochavi, and Yoel Roseman were published in this framework. Miri Freilich, Ph.D. is currently doing research on the revival of Zionist youth movements in Poland following World War II in Poland.
3. Hashomer Hatzair Movement in Israel.
Project for the documentation, research, and publication of the history of Hashomer Hatzair in Israel. A public committee to coordinate the project is being organized.
4. The Kibbutz and Israeli Society. Participating in the project are: Yad Ya'ari, Yad Tabenkin, the Institute for Research on the Kibbutz of Haifa University and the Ben-Gurion Heritage Center in Sdeh Boker. The program: the initiation of research, study days and publications on the subject. Research on the kibbutz contribution to and involvement in the cultural life of the country is currently in process.
5. Study of Hashomer Hatzair in Latin America (South America).
Research and documentation of the subject is in process.
6. The Life, Achievements and Legacy of Mordechai Shenhavi - documentation and written biography. The project has been carried out by the late David Zait, Ph.D. and Yizhar Ben-Nachum, Ph.D. The first section of the biography was published in 2005.
