Donations to Givat Haviva can now be made via payroll deductions!
January 8, 2007

Givat Haviva Educational Foundation has been accepted as a member of the prestigious Jewish Charities of America.

Jewish Charities of America (JCA) is a confederation of independent non- profit organizations. JCA evaluates, assembles, and certifies, national and international IRS-recognized Jewish charities and represents them in workplace fund drives.

Employee workplace payroll deduction fund drives are very cost-effective and productive fundraising vehicles and reach an estimated 10 million employees nationwide.

Via the American Jewish Charities, Givat Haviva will now participate in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) nationally, as well as in 28 state employee campaigns, scores of municipal, county and university campaigns, United Way campaigns in Washington DC and San Francisco, and in various independent corporate campaigns.

As excited as GHEF is about the potential this holds for increased campaign income, we are even prouder of the validation of our good work and careful management of public funds that this acceptance represents.

Our donors can feel secure that they are giving not only to an important cause, but to a charity that has been "registered and accepted" as one that meets the highest standards of public accountability, program effectiveness, and cost effectiveness.

The Independent Charities Seal of Excellence is awarded to members of Independent Charities of America and Local Independent Charities of America that meet these high standards. Of the 1,000,000 charities operating in the United States today, fewer than 2,000 have been awarded this Seal.

Givat Haviva is proud to display this seal today.

Several new features and pages have been added to the Givat Haviva Educational Foundation website.
