Typical one day program (suitable for young-adults and up)

Arrival at Givat Haviva.

Short tour of the campus and introduction to the different departments.

Coffee Break.

11:00

Lecture providing a basic historical background to Arab-Jewish relations in Israel using events in the Givat Haviva locality as examples. The lecture will make a comparison and distinction between Israeli Arabs and Palestinians, and will leave ample time to answer questions.

12:45 Lunch at the Campus Dining Hall (A Kibbutz Mess Hall).
13:30 Encounter with an Israeli Arab, usually a good English speaker with a unique perspective on coexistence in Israel.
15:00 Depart for tour of the region that will give life to the subjects discussed earlier.
Visits spectacular outlooks for grand views of the entire region.
Tour different communities in the Wadi-Ara region. The tour will culminate in either the Village of Barta’a, or the Bi-Lingual school in Kafr-Kari
Meet and interact with the locals.
visit the thriving markets that have evolved with the security fence.
visit the Border Patrol Museum.

Dinner in one of the local Oriental restaurants offering a culinary perspective on coexistence.
